The index tracks price, liquidity depth and verified 24h volume for listed memecoin markets on supported DEX chains, weighted by float-adjusted market cap. It does not track unlaunched presales, private allocations, or off-chain venues. Constituents are reviewed weekly and dropped when liquidity falls below the $100k floor.

Know what you are looking at
Liquidity is the pool of paired capital standing behind the price. A token can print a nine-figure market cap on a $150k pool, which means a single mid-size sell drags the chart down twenty percent before your order fills.
Market cap is supply multiplied by the last trade — nobody deposited that money. Compare fully diluted value against real 24h volume and pool depth; if volume is a rounding error next to the cap, the number is decorative.
Check whether mint authority is revoked, LP tokens are burned or locked, and how concentrated the top ten wallets are. An unrevoked mint or a single wallet holding thirty percent of supply is the whole risk in one line.
The buy/sell split on 24h transactions shows who is stepping in and at what size. Thousands of tiny buys against a handful of very large sells is distribution wearing a green candle as a disguise.
Most pairs die inside the first week. A market that has held liquidity and volume for months has already passed the test that the fresh launch on your screen has not attempted yet.
Position size against the pool, not against your conviction. Decide the invalidation level and the take-profit ladder while the chart is boring, because you will not decide it well while it is moving.
